Just as a sequence of cards is generated out of a deck of cards for regular poker this must also be verified in video poker. This was originally a Nevada regulation that sated that a video poker game just like a real life poker game must simulate a 52 card deck game. I’m not sure that this also applies to video poker games that are located outside of Nevada and this law might not apply to the many riverboat and Indian gaming casinos that exist today. To stop card counters and really smart mathematicians from learning how to reverse program this sequence newer versions of video poker were created to make this kind of card counting or cheating very difficult to do.

Video poker payouts are usually very high percentage compared to other games but recently alot of the casinos also now have a video poker progressive jackpot that will pay out a huge sum that keeps growing larger for rare hands that are very hard to get like a royal flush or something like it.
